This privacy policy is strictly aligned with the actual code behavior of Aura Privacy. Before deploying to production, please confirm your official business entity name, legal address, and support contact email address.
1. Overview & Core Philosophy
At Aura Privacy, privacy is not a marketing buzzword; it is the fundamental purpose of our software. We believe that mobile privacy utilities must operate with 100% technical transparency.
Aura Privacy is engineered so that your sensitive on-screen data, messages, and camera sensor inputs never leave your physical device. We do not maintain user tracking databases, do not upload camera feeds, and do not profile your browsing activities.
2. Detailed Android Permissions & Why We Need Them
To function natively on modern Android operating systems (Android 9.0 through Android 15+), Aura Privacy requests specific system permissions. Here is the verified technical rationale for each:
3. Google ML Kit & Computer Vision Architecture
Our anti-shoulder-surfing detection utilizes Google's official on-device ML Kit Face Detection API:
- Face Count Only: The algorithm evaluates only whether two or more faces are present in the camera frame (
faces.size ≥ 2). - No Facial Recognition: Aura Privacy does not extract biometric facial templates, does not identify individuals, and does not detect eye gaze direction.
- Immediate Recycling: Each processed frame is immediately closed and garbage-collected. No buffer caching or hard disk persistence occurs.
4. Third-Party Libraries & Monetization SDKs
Aura Privacy operates on a freemium model supported by trusted industry standard SDKs:
- Google AdMob (Google LLC): Used in the Free tier to display banner advertisements and rewarded video ads that grant 1-hour Pro passes. AdMob may collect standard device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / AAID) subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play In-App Billing & RevenueCat: Used securely to process one-time Lifetime Pro purchases and manage purchase receipts. We do not collect or store your payment card numbers; all transactions are processed through Google Play's secure checkout.
5. Children's Privacy
While Aura Privacy includes a "Child Lock" touch-blocking feature designed for parents handing their devices to children to watch videos, the application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Security & Data Retention
Because all core utilities execute locally in device volatile memory without storing user content, there is no remote database containing your private screen text, notifications, or camera frames. Your data remains in your control.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our technical features or applicable legal frameworks. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
